This year there are elections in America, India, Britain and other European countries. Most countries are preparing for elections. And in some countries, the election process is over.
However, North Korea has the strongest democracy. An agency rates North Korea with 100 points. Likewise, China and Russia have a strong democratic set-up. The democracy index of China is 99.
As per this survey, India gets 95, whereas the U.S. gets only 5 points and its position is 180th of 180 countries.
Unfortunately, the democracy index of America is the lowest. This shows that there is no democracy in America. No doubt, America is the mother of democracy.
However, such an index awarding agency (think tank) belongs to North Korea or its allies.
In the countries such as North Korea, Russia, and China, people vote for their only leader. It’s compulsory to vote. No doubt, it’s good. It is a healthy practice.
But these people are wise. They have chosen the same party and leader for years. There must be no opponents- no good leaders in the opposition.
And choosing the same government for years leads to the progress of a nation. But, it appears the people are obedient. We are not sure whether it is self-discipline or imposed discipline.
The leaders of various groups have flexible ideologies and principles. And each political party accepts without hesitation. Changing parties as per the opportunity is nowadays a fashion.
Because everyone wants to serve the nation.
Such type of trend is common in the entire world.
The most discussed and eye-catching term after elections in some countries is ‘Horse Trading.’ It’s an important word and people know its meaning.
But, the horses object to spoiling their name. They say they are faithful towards their master. Humans unnecessarily involve them in their matters.
The International Institute of Democracy is an agency that surveys the electoral process in the world.
But, this time it says it will not declare the survey result.
Because, this time, the results are shocking. It says the people have less trust in the electoral process.
Maybe, the survey of IID may be wrong. But, that is what the survey shows.
