Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore & other IITs in India are pioneer institutes. Thus, they offer quality education to students. These institutes offer postgraduate courses in Science, Engineering, Social Sciences & Management. In addition, there are integrated MSc-PhD Programs in Science and other subjects.
There are about sixteen IITs in India. Indian Institute of Science & IITs has well-equipped laboratories. In addition, they have good libraries & efficient computer network.
IISc & IITs are conducting a joint admission test for MSc (JAM) & other postgraduate courses.
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is the organizing institute for JAM 2023.
IIT has declared the examination schedule for the year 2023. It is an online examination conducted every year. (computer-based test)
A student is supposed to choose a paper offered at his graduation level. In fact, the questions asked for assessment are all objective & are of MCQ type.

Who can apply?
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree. He should have at least 55% at graduation level or 5.5 out of 10 for general category students. For SC/ST & PwD, at least 50% at graduation or 5.0 out of 10. Hence, please check the eligibility criteria

Fees for females/SC/ST/PH Rs 750, whereas for all other categories Rs 1500.
