Have you ever thought of clothes that we wear performs photosynthesis & produce a lot of oxygen around us? One of the leading companies in the world is planning to manufacture clothes that create O2. Therefore, these clothes will generate O2 around you naturally. They are going to be the ‘Garments of the future. Hence, it will be the fashion of the future.

A company in London is developing such garments or clothes. They are going to name them CO2AT. Thus, these clothes improve oxygen levels around the wearer of the garment. Hence, these clothes will convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. These clothes will produce the same amount of oxygen as synthesized by a medium tree. The company is going to name them ‘Climate action clothes.’

In short, scientists are preparing microbial dyes that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by using photosynthesis. It is because all microbes are not harmful to human beings. Coronavirus is an exception. The microbes present on the T-shirt will absorb CO2  and produce O2 by photosynthesis. Yes, the same process of photosynthesis as it occurs in plants.

The surface of the clothes will contain living microorganisms. These eco-friendly microbial dyes will perform photosynthesis. In addition, microbiologists are also trying to design self-cleaning clothes. Hence, clothes that regulate temperature & clothes having medical diagnostic properties.

Future Problems

Creating more and more oxygen is a good idea. It seems great. But what about nature’s balance? We all know that plants & trees need carbon dioxide to produce oxygen. Hence, if that extirpates CO2 from the earth, how will the plants & trees survive on the planet earth? There is a clear-cut balance. Plants give us oxygen during their lifetime & when they die, they decompose into CO2.

It is desirable to produce more O2 on the planet earth. But eradicating carbon dioxide will be dangerous. Therefore, this may lead to terrible results.

Every coin has two sides. There will be advantages on one side and adverse effects on the other side. Humans are always creating chaos. Eco-friendly clothes may seem to fascinate, but what about the future? Read more about climate action clothes at photosynthesis.
