A Monk Invite God of Fire-Agni Deva to Light Fire at Religious Ceremony

A monk enters into the village. He is wearing a traditional dress of a monk. Therefore, wearing a reddish-pink gown & has long bears along with long hair on his head. A Trishul & a Kamandal in his hand adds to his personality as a Hindu monk or Sadhu.

The villagers are naïve & modest people. They all come out of their houses. And bow at his feet constantly.

Moreover, they all receive him in their village.

The disciple of Sadhu: Our Baba (saint) is great. He produces extraordinary miracles. Therefore, there will be an end to all your miseries.

Sadhu: I have the power to invite the god of fire (Agni deva), the god of the wind (Pavan deva) & god of water (Jal deva). I can walk on water. Moreover, I too have the power to fly in the sky.

The Serpanch (village head) & people led him to the center of the village. People gather at the school ground for the religious ceremony (Puja).

Serpanch: Baba will have some breakfast. After that, we will associate with a religious ceremony.

The religious ceremony (Puja)

Baba: Today is Sunday. Sunday is the day of the Sun god (Surya deva). Hence, this day I will worship the Sun god. I shall initially invite the god of fire. In this manner, in his presence, I shall start the Puja.

His disciple brings some dry leaves, twigs & pieces of wood. He places them in an iron vessel. Everyone can observe it.

The monk takes his sit. He starts chanting some pious words (Mantras). This continued for about half an hour.

Now, Baba takes out a small pot containing Ganga Jal from his bag.

Baba: Look, this is Ganga Jal. The most sparkling & pious water.

Baba once more starts chanting some Mantras.

Baba: At this time I will pour the pious water on the vessel containing fuel. And I shall again invite the fire god to come.

He again fastens his eyes. Utter some spiritual words.

In a few minutes, the magic starts. Therefore, fumes erupt and in no time there is a fire.

People are stunned to perceive this. Baba has done it. Great, he has invited the fire god. Thus, People start praising.

Disciple: Baba is great. He can perform anything.

But, suddenly. A teacher of the school appears in front of the mob.

Teacher: Wait, I can do the same miracle before you people.

The teacher repeats the same. As follows, once more there is a fire on wooden blocks.

People do not understand what is happening.

Teacher: Please don’t be foolish. There is a science behind it.

Teacher: ‘When a substance known as potassium permanganate (KMnO4) & Glycerin is mixed, an exothermic reaction occurs. Thus, there is a fire. You can also, perform this experiment. There is a violent reaction between these two substances. Therefore, the heat liberated starts the ignition’

The teacher calls the police. The police come & detain the monk.

But surprisingly the monk removes his bears, long hair & costume of a monk.

He is also a teacher at the same school. Furthermore, the police are also not real. In fact, it was just a drama. A drama to eliminate the superstitions from society.

Even knowledgeable people believe in such superstitions. There is no ghost, no witchcraft & no miracles at all in this world.
