Rays emitted from the mineral. At first glance, Marie does not understand what is happening. But, after days of analysis, she reveals an interesting phenomenon. The rays emitted are due to the presence of an unknown element. She gives the name Radium. Hence, the meaning of Radium itself is a ‘Ray’.
