The government imposes heavy fine for not wearing helmets. Helmets indeed saves life. The helmets are necessary because cows are roaming here & there on the road. Sometimes, there are potholes on the damaged road. The bus drivers drive the buses roughly. Hence, they are necessary.
But, many citizens are not having helmets. Therefore, they find an alternate way. They have aluminium or steel cooking pots (Patila) at home. Some completely fits on their heads. Some pots are modified in such a way that they fit their heads.
Hence, few of the two-wheelers decides to wear pots & drive. Many of the two-wheelers are seen on the road with aluminium or copper pots.
The police officers are confused. To collect fine from these people or not. People says heads are covered. It is not clear to them what sort of helmet should the people wear.
Thus, the message goes to the government. Therefore, Chief Minister calls cabinet meeting. They decide not to fine these people up to a month. By this time, they have to purchase the helmet of a registered company.
The scene on the road is funny. The two-wheelers wear pots (Patila).
An American tourist was on visit to Ahmadabad & Rajkot. He finds that people are wearing a special type of helmets. He exclaimed in surprise, ‘Wow, what a nice helmet! What a great design! It is marvellous. Which company manufacture such an item? I wish to purchase it’
After that, we have no information about what he did.
Some two-wheeler says there are double benefits of these pots. The same helmet (the pot) can be used in the kitchen to cook something. Hence, it is very economic.
The fine starts from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. Most of the two-wheeler possesses only 500 to 1000 Rupees in their pockets. And that too given by their rowdy wives!
Now, let’s see next week. What decision the government takes. It extends the date or continue with this. Till then, the two-wheelers can wear cooking pots (Patila).
